Dita e qirinjve kundër granatës së dorës

Ishte një ditë e vonë e pranverës, sa kishim shkuar në shkollë por atë ditë në shkollë mësimi su mbajt. Aty kah ora 9:40 një grup prej shokëve të klasës jemi nisur kah qendra të pajisur me nga një qiri, një gotë dhe një fotografi të Nënës Terezë. Por, në fillim këto rekuizita proteste i mbanim në xhepat tanë për mos tu dukur para se të duheshin. Së pari dolëm vetëm të bredhnim duke mos u grupuar në grupe më të mëdha se tre persona pasi që ky ishte urdhër nga policia serbe.

Me ardhjen e kohës për tu mbajtur protesta ne i nxorrëm rekuizitat e nevojshme, ndezëm qirinjtë dhe mbanim në dorë fotografi të Nënës Terezë dhe ecëm tutje të grupuar përafërisht 70 persona të moshave të ndryshme. Ne ishim të parët që kishim dalur aty dhe se policia serbe nuk kishte pritur fare se do të dilnim. Kishim bërë një gjiro e gjysmë dhe teksa po arrinim në skajin ku do t’i mbushnim dy gjiro kemi parë që një masë e madhe njerëzish ishte mbledhur në atë skaj. Policia serbe kishte bërë një kordon që i ndalonte bashkëqytetarët të na bashkëngjiteshin në protestën e asaj dite. Në ato çaste një polic serb ka nxjerrë siguresën parësore të granatës së dorës dhe e mbante të shtrënguar fort për dore kështu që nuk e lëshonte atë të eksplodonte. Në atë çast një i ri, që fizikisht dukej se kishte ushtuar ushtrime fizike me muskujt të fuqishëm e shpërthen kordonin e policisë. Pas tij ishte një i moshuar me plis të bardhë e polici serb që ishte në vendin ku u thy kordoni ka fillluar ta godet me tërë fuqinë që kishte.

Në këto qaste të gjithë qytaterët e bllokuar kanë filluar ta gjuajnë policinë serbe me qirinjë sa që të gjithë policët u detyruan të tërhiqeshin dhe kështu e tërë qendra e qytetit tim u mbush sepse kishte ardhur koha që dhuna ishte bërë shumë e theksuar kudo në Kosovë dhe protestat ishin një nga mënyrat për të alarmuar tërë botën por për mua kjo ditë mbetet dita e qirinjëve se ata ishin që e detyruan policinë të tërhiqej. Si përfundim falenderoj të gjithë pjesëmarrësit e kësaj proteste që e bënë të jetë një kujtim i gjallë për ato qaste të paharrueshme.

The Candle’s day against the hand grenade

It was a late spring day, as we have gone to the school but, in this day there was no classes at all. Around 9:40^am a group of my friends from my class started to go toward the center of city equipped with a candle, am empty glass and a black and white picture of Mother Theresa at A4 format. But, in beginning these protest’s props were held in our pockets so they could not be seen before we needed them. Initially we started to roam but not grouping in large groups like less than four people in a group due to fact this was an order from Serbian Policemen.

According to the time that protest had to take place we pulled needed props, we light up our candles and we the picture of Mother Theresa holding in our hand we walked a bit in a group about 70 persons of all ages. We were the first one and Serbian policemen did not excepted we would protest. We had done a lap and half of our trajectory and then suddenly while we were approaching of one end of the protest’s trajectory we saw that there was a large group of people gathered behind a curtain of Serbian policemen to halt them to join to our protests on that day. On one moment a Serbian policemen that was not part of the curtain pulled a hand grenade and pulled the first fuse and he was holding the grenade by the second manual fuse so it would not explode right away. In that moment, a young guy, that was doing body building, with strong and large muscle,  broke up the Serbian policemen curtain. Behind him, there was an old man, he was in 70-ties, with white hat “Plis” and the Serbian policemen started to beat the old man with all his strenth.

In these moments the people who wanted to join to the protests have started to throw the candles into the direction of the policemen so they were forced to withdraw and thus entire center of the town was overcrowded with the protesters because the time has come so the violence was present at large every where in Kosovo and the protests were one of the ways to alarm the entire world but for me this day remains as the Day of Candles against against a hand grenade because the candles forced them to retreat. Finally, I do thank all participants of this protest that makes me to have a vivid memory for those unforgettable moments.
